Prevalence, Severity of Psychological Distress Higher in Patients Coping With Philadelphia-negative Myeloproliferative Neoplasm

Results from this Danish study of 2029 patients with all types of MPNs demonstrated a prevalence of anxiety, depression, or both in 21%, 12%, and 8%, respectively, of patients. Participants with greater comorbidities had a higher risk of depression, and those with higher total symptom burden and higher fatigue burden had a strongly correlated increased risk for anxiety.
