Prevalence and Impact of Frailty on Outcomes in Myelofibrosis

According to the results of a retrospective study of older patients with MPNs presented at the 12th International Congress on Myeloproliferative Neoplasms, presence of the JAK2 mutation is associated with a higher Frailty Index score, compared with other driver mutations. The data also showed that certain factors such as frailty status and transfusion-requiring anemia may predict poor survival.
