Retrospective study of the digestive tract mucositis derived from myeloablative and non-myeloablative/reduced-intensity conditionings with busulfan in hematopoietic cell transplantation patient

Data from a retrospective study suggest that nonmyeloablative/reduced-intensity conditioning with busulfan prior to hematopoietic stem cell transplant may reduce the severity and duration of oral mucositis among patients with hematologic malignancies, without impacting the efficacy of the conditioning regimen.
